What is Sohei?

Why did this all start? Well, have you ever made a promise to yourself, and forgotten about it. Well maybe, not forget about it, but life got in the way. Well I decided that life couldn’t get int the way any longer.

What was the plan? Well, I touch it on a little bit in the Age of Jeremy Bonusode 3.  In mysticism your main goal is to become one with God, or another way of looking at it is to become enlightened.  Without going into to much detail here, you can do this through different religious practices.  I learned to do it through the Golden Dawn methodology, but I have sensed taken an interest in eastern mysticism.  But, to get back on track my plan was to finish college by the time I was 30, and then focus on becoming enlightened.  However, college changed my mindset in many ways.  I fell in love with Capitalism and Capitalistic endeavors.

This is the reason why I started to work for Wells Fargo.  A company that I still love, even through its many entity and personnel flaws. I am now 34 and a little bit behind on my plan. However, through some conversations with individuals at work I regained my passion for the the “Great Work.” The a term for focusing on enlightenment.  The conversations were focused around Reiki.  Which is aura healing.  You can learn about it here. This was the first thing that made me dust off some of my occult books.

The second thing that happened was that my friend John Vasquez went to ONNIT training in California.  While he was there he learned about steal maces.  When he came back, we ordered some of them for our 3T Fitness training.  I fell in love with them.  Not only as a way to work out, but also as a martial art.  It is called Gada – Yuddha.  This is the Indian martial art of the mace.  This lead me to want to study martial arts more in depth and there relationship to enlightenment.

I decided to call this path of study Sohei.  Sohei is a term for Warrior Monks that were prevalent during feudal Japan.  They are also referred to as Buddhist Warrior Monks.  The monks protected Buddhist lands, but also fought against other Buddhist sects to spread Buddhism.  I of course am not a Buddhist Monk, but I believe the term is somewhat relevant with my journey.  A person who is studying martial arts, scriptures, and rituals to improve themselves.  I also wish to spread Buddhism in Arizona.  This is the reason I chose the term.

I look as Sohei as a side quest on my journey to Governor of Arizona, and leaving my Legacy.  However, I have become obsessed with this portion of my life, and working on perfection.  It is lead me back into the happiness I have found reading sutras and studying martial arts.  Just in a few short months I have started to design functional training someone can do by mixing certain weapon training with steel or wooden clubs.

This portion of Age of Jeremy will be designed for me to teach you such functional training and embark into the unknown and unnerving world of mysticism. Check Ya Later!
